I'm Baking Cake! (cakephp that is)

So, this was a worthwhile venture, building a little website in CodeIginter. I looked at all the leading frameworks before setting out on this venture, now it's time to try another. Don't get me wrong, CodeIgniter has a lot going for it, and I barely scratched the surface, but being the lazy bastard I am I couldn't help be attracted to a framework that writes code for me!

Still gotta do the homework, but after a day of setting my sites on cakephp, I'm baking applications and modesl/views/controllers like crazy! Not that they do anything or are very useful yet, but, the price of admission is free and experimenting is also free. Didn't get it quite right? Try it again!

I like how I can see how cake bakes the MVC, and I can expand it from there. I also like how easy it is to bake from a single install of the cake core libraries, into my webroot. It follows best practises of keeping cake (and my app libraries) out of the webroot, and on deployment, a simple config change get everything working. Secure and simple. But still lot's to learn.

I'll let you know how it's going. Some useful links I found along the way...
